'Priming The Pump' was a tactic adopted by FD Roosevelt which launched the USA on its way out of recession. This kind of 'overspend' was designed to get the economy working again - which it pretty much did.When Labour talks of such things - all they ever mean is the increase of quangos, bureaucracy and wasteful government disbursements of taxpayers' money.
Their thinking is simply lunacy and what was the biggest single factor in our present economic mess? - Yes. Spot on and they are offering us more of the same!
