Zero Warming.

ZERO WARMING, according to an article in Nature Climate Change vol. 3, p767, September 2013. In an article entitled “Overestimate global warming over the past 20 years”, three Canadian climate scientists report that over the years from 1993 to 2012 global surface temperatures have risen by 0.14 ± 0.06 degrees Celsius. This is “significantly slower” than the rate predicted by climate models. They also state: “The inconsistency between observed and simulated global warming is even more striking for temperature trends computed over the past fifteen years (1998–2012). For this period, the observed trend of 0.05 ± 0.08°C per decade is more than four times smaller than the average simulated trend of 0.21 ± 0.03°C per decade”. According to the scientists “the observed trend over this period — not significantly different from zero — suggests a temporary ‘hiatus’ in global warming”. They conclude: “Ultimately the causes of this inconsistency will only be understood after careful comparison of simulated internal climate variability and climate model forcings with observations from the past two decades, and by waiting to see how global temperature responds over the coming decades”.

The assessment of “not significantly different from zero” is another way of admitting that there has been no global warming for the last 15 years, in spite of many computer model predictions of relentless warming put out by the IPCC and other proponents of man-made global warming. For those not familiar with the journal Nature Climate Change, it is a publication associated with the prestigious scientific journal Nature. This article is one of a number of grudging admissions in mainstream scientific literature that global warming has stopped. It is about time scientists stopped putting their faith in computer models, and started looking at the real world, and having the humility to admit there are forces such as the sun, ocean currents, clouds and winds that humans are never going to control, and these have more influence on the climate than man-made carbon dioxide.
