In other words, the
notion that “Cameron cut the EU Budget” is absolute baloney. And yet such
characters as Lynton Crosby and Sajid Javid, and no doubt a high proportion of
the Conservative Party membership, believe it to be true! (In my work I often
use the word “factoid” to refer to spurious but much mentioned assertions.
