“It is an insult to the victims of Joyce Thacker failures, that she had
to be bribed with a £40,000 pay off to leave her post at Rotherham council. She
presided over the catastrophic failure of children in the town of Rotherham and
should have been sacked with not a penny of compensation. If the woman had a
shred of decency, she would refuse the payment, or donate to a charity that is
now trying to tackle the problems she help create. ”
