UKIP Council By-Election Landslide Pointer To Rochester?

The anti-EU party secured a crushing victory when its local council candidate, David Jones, easily won the Sheppey Central seat on Thursday night. His win bolsters Ukip’s hopes of victory in next month’s crucial Rochester and Strood parliamentary by-election - the next-door constituency. Mr Jones secured 58 per cent of the votes with a net swing of 31.5 per cent from the Conservatives compared with 2011.
