Amjad Bashir MEP.

Amjad Bashir has quit UKIP and joined the Conservatives, This is against a backcloth of claims overnight that he was to face serious disciplinary charges - on what, I know not. For the Tories, a defection of this nature is a minor coup - but hardly in the same league as those where Westminster seats were abandoned, refought and won by Messrs Carswell & Reckless.
