New guidance, published as part of the Government's 'British values' drive, could mean that university and college authorities would have to monitor the activities of campus groups such as Christian Unions and vet talks and presentations in advance. The new duty would be created by the Counter-Terrorism and Security Bill, currently being considered by the House of Lords. A consultation on the material closes next Friday (30th January).
