Living, as I do, in the Socialist Republic of S. Yorkshire, I have
experienced first hand this strange phenomenon where the majority of voters have
''I vote Labour" implanted in their DNA. Alongside this is the "I
hate tories more than I do the Grim Reaper" phenomenon.
Sensible thinking and rational thought processes disappear in
favour of a crazy 'politics which comes from the gut' approach to
voting. "I must be filled with bile and hatred but must never ask the tough
questions such as where does all the money come from?" I must have a vague
belief that "the rich can be battered in order to create funding for loony
or, occasionally, desirable projects. I do not believe in sensible budgeting
except in my own domicile, of course."
