A farmer in rural Northumberland, he was telling me that Jeremy Corbyn is
what locals like to call a 'fencepost tortoise'*.
I asked him 'What do you mean, a fencepost tortoise?'
He said "Well, it's like when you see a tortoise balanced on the top of a wooden fencepost looking insecure.
He clearly didn't get up there by himself. He obviously doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do whilst he is up there...and you just have to wonder what kind of idiot put him up there in the first place."
