A significant proportion of the problems caused by
recent flooding are the direct result of the British Government being obliged
to follow European Union directives which heavily discourage - and sometimes
even forbid - the dredging of rivers.
This represents, in
microcosm, our entire relationship with the
EU.
They tell us what we must do whether or not it makes
any form of sense here.
This issue alone provides sufficient reason for us all
to vote 'out'.
