Full To Empty.

This is a classic car hire scam. Who can judge exactly how much fuel they will use during a car hire period? This therefore guarantees that the firm will be able to keep, and profit from, petrol that YOU have paid for but not used.
Step forward Drivalia which I used in Alicante recently - for the first and last time. Not only the full/empty scam which I am used to but they had the nerve to charge me more than 100% more than the going rate for the fuel!
With what was left in the tank plus the overpricing I was swindled out of something approaching seventy euros. My email of complaint was met with a most mealy-mouthed reply.
ADVICE: If you are hiring a car - go to AutoEurope site - which is a broker - enter your dates and use the Full/Full filter - then select the cheapest firm.
If it happened ever to be Drivalia - give them a miss, anyway!
