I have always opposed ID cards but, I fear,
circumstances are now making it necessary for me to backtrack. Our nation is now
riddled with illegals. These need to be tracked down, arrested and promptly
deported. (If they claim to have no proof of origin, DNA samples should be taken
and they will be returned to the country which most closely matches their DNA
profile and ancestral history.)
Furthermore, the 'terror threat' used by past
governments at the drop of a hat, has now come to pass. ID cards would help
eliminate a portion of that threat.
My libertarian side is horrified that it has come to
this. But we must put the welfare of the British people and all legal
immigrants first.
