Speaking to a panel of MPs yesterday, the Governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney admitted that there are clear financial risks of staying in the EU. He stated that the further integration of the eurozone would inhibit the Bank’s ability to regulate the British economy.
Mr Carney is not the first Bank of England Governor to warn of the dangers of the single currency. Mervyn King said that the euro was a ‘mistake’ and something ‘we should all be concerned about’, before predicting that it is likely to ‘explode’.
If we stay in the EU, taxpayers’ money will be used to bailout the euro when it next hits crisis point. It is clear that the safer choice is to Vote Leave.
