APOLOGISE: BBC slammed for 'disgusting anti-Brexit coverage that hijacked Christmas.'
BREXIT backers are demanding a public apology from the BBC for what they believe was "inappropriate" coverage comparing the result of the EU referendum to the decision to crucify Jesus Christ. Anti-European Union think tank, the Bruges Group, is accusing the BBC of "disrespecting the will of the people" and "hijacking the festival of Jesus' birth" by airing a Christmas Point of View episode in which Howard Jacobson appeared to link the Brexit vote to the decision of the baying mob in biblical times to execute Jesus and not Barabbas.
The "highly political" episode was broadcast three times over the festive period and was utterly "tasteless", blasts the Bruges Group.
