Tory Voters Cost Paul Nuttall In Stoke.

Taking nearly as many votes as Ukip, Tory voters ensured that the Labour candidate won the Stoke Central by election, albeit with a reduced majority.
Knowing that the Tories could not possibly have won the seat, it is perhaps surprising that these voters seemed happy enough to allow Labour to keep a seat which has been theirs since its creation.
A more sensible approach could have been a major nail in Labour's coffin. For the Tories, it is difficult to see how this vote can have done them any favours whatsoever - maybe they like the thoughts of a Labour revival.
Disappointing all round.
