I reported this appalling state of affairs from my own passage through the Port of Hull.
It is an abomination! Since that time, I have spoken to a former Customs Officer who tells me that so very many border points are effectively open.
This wretched government must do two things:
1) It must recruit the 3,000 officers referred to here and
2) It must make an unshakable promise that every single illegal will be deported when discovered. There must NEVER be any amnesty!
