MAD Kept Us Safe During The Cold War.

When I was a student, there was a great deal of concern amongst young people that the Cold War would turn 'hot'.
I never lost a minute of sleep to the thought as 'the balance of power' or 'MAD', if you will, would always win through.
For many a decade, I warned that the danger of nuclear weapons was them falling into the hands of terrorists or rogue states.
It appears that even I can be right, on occasion!
