It was in the secular press just last week where
the Anglican clergyman wrote he was voting in favour of GAY marriage in
Australia. His argument was simple – “It was only tradition in the church that
caused people to be against homosexuality.” What’s left to say?
The year 13 high school student said “My friend is gay and his pastor says it’s alright – God won’t hold it against him – he will still go to heaven!” What’s left to say?
The vicar teamed up with the atheist to get us banned from one large college by getting the Bishop to override the headmaster’s invitation for us to talk to year 12 students – and the two chaplains at the school turned out to be lesbians - living together in plain view. What’s left to say?
Simply the same thing that Jesus the Creator and Saviour said to his enemies the Sadducees, who like many present-day clergy didn’t actually believe anything. Jesus comment to them, “You are in error for you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29.
Our reply to the boy whose excuse was a pro-gay pastor? – “You must choose young man, either the religious pastor, who has no power to send you to heaven or hell – or the Creator God who has specifically told us in his Scriptures there are no homosexuals in the kingdom of God, and He has every power to send Gays to hell or better still to change them to be normal as He did for the Gays Paul wrote about in 1 Corinthians 6.
Paul could say that because he did know the Scriptures and the power of the Christ who created! Challenge time: are you a brave enough Christian to stand for Jesus in this issue or will you cave in like so many churches who are voting with their hip pocket and government favour in mind? Non Christian will you begin to fear the God who can cast both your body and soul into eternal hell fires, and yet in mercy, use the same power to change you into His likeness freed from the bondage of your chosen GAYdom?
