Protestant Persecution In Mexico.

#
Hi Friends,
Alma is one of the bravest 18 year olds I know. She was forced from her home along with her family in December 2017 because they were Protestant Christians. Thanks to CSW, just a few weeks ago, Alma made the 18 hour journey from Puente de Camotlán to Mexico City where she courageously shared details of the worst day of her life in multiple meetings with senior politicians and government officials.
During one very emotional meeting, Tania Ramírez Hernández, of the National Council to Prevent Discrimination told Alma: “We owe you an apology, this country owes you an apology. Because even though we talk a lot about best practice, the reality is that we didn't respond in this moment when you felt fear.”
For Alma to receive an apology was an important step. But if we want to see this situation change for so many children across Mexico, we also need to apply pressure at the local level. Which is why the next stage of the campaign is to target state governments beginning with Chiapas State, where there are so many cases like Alma’s.
Please prayerfully consider what you can donate.
Blessings,
