Our climate changes constantly. The Romans grew grapes as far north as Scotland.
Between the 17th and 19th centuries, there were frost fairs held ON THE RIVER THAMES.
AS a child in the 50s the pollution from: buses, trains, diesel lorries, steelworks, factories, cars, all added to the belching smoke from coal fires from every house, made everywhere in the UK pretty foul.
A friend reminded me of this last night.
The air has never been cleaner - with the possible exception of China - a nation happy to use coal as it tries to achieve levels of pollution unequalled anywhere in half a century.
The millions of extra vehicles on our roads today make a fraction of the pollution that the relatively tiny numbers made in the 1950s.
If climate change is man-made, then surely it has to be a kickback from seventy years ago.
Carbon dioxide is often blamed - but the scientific case is weak.
Why has sunspot activity been removed from the equation?
Never forget that in a single eruption, Krakatoa in 1883 produced more pollution than Man has achieved in all of recorded history.
Hosts of respected scientists promised us a new ice age. I remember reading the many articles from the better newspapers when I was at university in the 1970s!
Somehow, I think that we are being taken for a ride.
Proof? - That is easy. When discussion is banned from the BBC and similar; when dissenters are shouted down and ridiculed without being allowed to make a case - please pardon my suspicions.
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
