Campaigners are calling on Britain's Government to introduce higher taxes on salty foods, akin to the sugar tax. But scientific sceptics say there is no real proof salt intake leads to health problems.
Blogger: so much backtracking by those scientists who have bullied us for years: tea, coffee, butter, animal fats etc.
I began to doubt the 'cozy consensus' on salt when I discovered that the longest-living people on earth, those who live in the High Andes, have diets which contain huge amounts of salt.
I do, however, believe that they are basically right where sugar and so many food additives are concerned.
