Iam no sort of deep green eco-warrior, but even so I won’t hear a word said against Greta Thunberg. I admire the girl. Or rather, woman, as she now is at the ripe old age of 18.
I’m not bothered that Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping or indeed the Queen were no-shows in Glasgow, I’m only glad that Greta got to Scotland and hung around to make a nuisance of herself, having originally said she wouldn’t travel. For me, in terms of star power, she outshines Leonardo DiCaprio and his new bestie the Prince of Wales by some distance. I could watch her grumpy little face and nod along with her grumpy Abba-accented hectoring all day.
