Blogger: I am not sure that I can agree with the course of action taken here.
This Blog has always strongly opposed anything which has advanced the insidious LGBTQ agenda but this couple are surely not being ordered to do something which is against Christian principles.
1) Nothing is gained by this stand.
2) With such actions, Christians can be seen as anti-individuals rather than being against the concept and practice of homosexuality. The distinction is huge.
3) What next? Refusing to talk to homosexuals? Resigning a job because a homosexual works alongside you?
4) Is this likely to advance the cause of The Gospel?
5) Is this 'gay' couple more or less likely to become Christians after this interchange?
I have a number of homosexual friends. They know that I will always take a Scriptural line with practices forbidden by God. But I shall treat them personally both decently and kindly as Jesus did with the sinners He encountered. We have a relationship which accepts each other in spite of one major difference.
We are all sinners in numerous ways.
The root of problem comes when someone embraces sin and calls it 'righteous'.
Why do so many consider adultery, theft and covetousness to be 'less bad'?
They only become a serious problem when unconfessed and regarded as 'what God has given them'.
Let us consider: "I am a kleptomaniac but that's okay coz that's the way God made me." (Ridiculous logic!)
