Why Go To Church? - A Few Thoughts.

 1) For the company?

2) Out of habit?

3) Because you think God may just exist?

4) As an insurance policy for avoiding hell?

5) Because they have a toddler group?

Blogger's suggestion: pack it in. For you it's a waste of time!
However, if you meet any of the following criteria - you should attend:

1) You want to meet God personally.
2) You have read about Jesus and want to know Him personally as Lord and Saviour.
3) You want to offer praise, honour and glory to your creator.
4) You want to know what God expects of you.
5) You want to confirm and experience the reality of this God.

Unhappily, going to Church is no guarantee of the positives above. Many Churches are only pretending to be Christian.

1) Many do not possess a trust in the Scriptures.
2) Many more have adopted practices condemned in The Bible.
3) Many do vaguely follow Christianity but only go through the motions.
4) Many support a watered down version of the Faith.
5) Many have become politicised.

If you have no idea which churches are godly and which are not - then I'm afraid that great research is required. Looking for churches which are truly evangelical should perhaps be a worthwhile starting point. Remember, one Anglican Church might be godly - the next may not. This applies across all denominations.

If Only I Could Disagree.
