Sarah* in North Africa was thrown out of her home because of her Christian faith. She was particularly vulnerable because she’s a woman. Later she married – but her husband threw her out too.
“After our marriage, he suddenly turned against me,” says Sarah. “He told me, ‘You’re not useful anymore.’”
Open Doors partners are helping Sarah to rebuild her life. Because of their support, Sarah now has a job, a home and ongoing discipleship. But there are many other Christian women who are persecuted for their faith and their gender, and still need to see change.
“You’ve never left me alone,” says Sarah. “You’ve looked after me throughout my journey.”
