There is hope for justice in Mexico – thank you for raising your voice! |
Were you one of the 1,030 people who emailed Mexican government officials this summer, calling for Consepción’s essential services to be reinstated? Six months since we launched our campaign ‘Your faith or your water supply’, the Chiapas state government has now recognised that a crime may have been committed against Protestant Christian families in El Encanto, Mexico. This breakthrough gives us hope that the water, electricity and sewerage services will soon be restored for families like Consepción’s - who have been living without access to water in their homes since 2016 - and that freedom or religion or belief will be upheld for all. But this is just the beginning, and nobody knows how the local authorities in El Encanto will react to the investigation into these violations. |

Read the untold stories |
We believe everyone deserves to have their story heard. Our research and reports endeavour to do just that, and we published two this year which have a particular focus on untold stories. Consepción’s story is featured in ‘Let her be heard’, alongside several other indigenous religious minority women in Mexico whose voices had been ignored for years. Meanwhile, five independent perspectives are shared in ‘China: The untold stories’. They shed light on the under-reported or currently-developing human rights violations in China – particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic radically impacted people’s lives. Many of the interviewees had to remain anonymous to be able to share their experiences safely amid the increasing restrictions and surveillance. Read their experiences from within China at csw.org.uk/UntoldStories or Mexico at csw.org.uk/LetHerBeHeard. |
Leave a lasting legacy |
'CSW is the only Christian organisation working with national governments and the UN to create a freer, fairer world, not just for Christians but for people of all faiths and none. That kind of world is the best legacy I can imagine, and that's why I have left a gift in my will to CSW. I hope others will join me in this.' - Simon George, Legacy Supporter. Your legacy can make a lasting difference to people suffering for their faith. By leaving a gift in your will – no matter the size – you’ll be partnering with us to uphold freedom and justice for generations to come. Would you consider leaving a gift to CSW in your will?
