Recently, we had Chief Constable Roberts (who is the lead officer on football) appearing at a select committee in Parliament telling MPs that those who stand at games will hate chant, throw missiles, take cocaine and sneak in alcohol. Roberts is opposed to safe standing and still lives in the dark ages. We prefer the research of the Sports Ground Safety Authority (SGSA) which found that "safe standing has had a positive impact on spectator safety."
