A single mother has avoided jail for a series of alcohol-fuelled fights in Macclesfield after explaining to magistrates that she was driven to violence because 'she does not like the town'.
Tyler Murray, 26, has been in and out of courts for causing trouble when getting drunk at her local pubs and takeaways.
In one incident in the market town in Cheshire, Murray kicked a policeman in the face and hurled abuse while she was being detained for being aggressive towards door staff at a bar.
In another she called a barmaid a 'p****' when she was refused alcohol and was subsequently accused of calling a colleague a 'P*** b******' when she was thrown out. She later cited Macclesfield itself - ranked as one of the 'happiest in the UK' - as a factor in her behaviour, saying: 'I just don't like the town.' DM
