Abetted by both Labour and Lib Dems, this wretched Tory government has permitted ever more Chinese goods into the UK. These days, almost any factory product you buy comes from China. Even the Italian tyres I put on the front of my car last Monday turned out to be 'Made in China'.

China is a communist nation. It fully intended to undermine Western nations by wrecking their economies and stopping them from having factories on their own soil.

The damage to our economy by having so many unnecessary imports is incalculable.

Our national structures are vulnerable. What happens if/when China suddenly comes up with an excuse to stop exporting electric car batteries to the UK (inter al)?

Think about it! Just one item out of many which could wreck our nation.

I think Rishi gets it. If we have trade deals with India in place - we have a backup plan.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, a plan which may work with many goods will not work with electric car batteries, however. The Chinese may not have a total monopoly on the constituent ingredients to manufacture them - but they are not far off.

Prices on the world scale could multiply tenfold.
