In our latest interview, Tehmina Arora, ADF International's Director of Advocacy for Asia, shines a light on this hidden crisis and the work being done to confront it.

ADF International has spent years advocating on these issues at both national and international level. From briefing MEPs at the EU, to hosting UN events, to testifying before the US Commission. We are beginning to see results. In February 2026, Punjab's Governor signed an ordinance raising the legal minimum age of marriage to 18, making child marriage a serious offence punishable by up to seven years in prison. It's a landmark step. But the work isn’t finished. Now we must push for better implementation of the law. Thank you for standing with us. With gratitude,  ADF International (UK)
