Hi,Today we bring you the wonderful news that Pastor Alexis is no longer imprisoned in Cuba. We thank God! When we wrote to you last week, he had been behind bars for three months, without any contact with the outside world. We could only imagine what he was enduring, based on our knowledge of how Christians are treated inside Cuba’s prisons. ‘Being separated from my family was especially painful,’ he said after his release. ‘I suffered a lot there.’ Now he is back home, safe with his family, reunited with his loved ones. Our advocates documented his case and made sure people in authority knew about it. His release is a victory worth celebrating! But the work is not over yet. Tomorrow, Pastor Alexis must report to the authorities to sign in. He’ll have to do the same again on Sunday, and every week, twice a week, while he awaits his trial.
