The House of Lords.

I have very mixed feelings about The House of Lords. As a democrat, I really should be opposing it to the Nth degree. I surely have no need to list here all of the reasons why 'the wrong people' are placed into that chamber BUT there is one real problem in replacing it and that is the other principle in which I have long believed - 'If it ain't broke - don't fix it.'

Time and again, when the Commons has failed - The Lords have come to the rescue of our people.

I suppose that 'an elected chamber' is inevitable but when it does eventually come, it must be largely elected by PR - which I do think will be the case.
