Too Many Graduates Makes a Social Mess.

Consider this recent headline:

Jobs gloom for a third of recent graduates as they languish in posts that do not require degree.

Add to these, the countless jobs over years which  require a degree nowadays which did not before!
Only when this point strikes home shall we get the message that sending 'everybody and his cat' to university is a complete - and now prohibitively expensive - waste of time.
A university degree now opens few doors because they are ten-a-penny with my particular emphases on the largely useless or the assorted marxist subjects.
By allowing hundreds of thousands of additional places - the only result is devaluation of the currency and the inevitable dumbing down.
The only intention behind all of this nonsense has been to conceal youth unemployment and manufacture a phony, leftwing agenda of 'more education for the masses' and claptrap about 'a better educated workforce'.
All are disadvantaged by what has happened.
How can it possibly be reasonable to demand a graduate for a job at 21 today, to do a job well done 25 years ago by a 16 year old with mere 'O' Levels?
Madness.
