Readers of this Blog will be well aware that I dislike the way the left manipulates language in order to manipulate minds.
Let us consider the word 'progressive'.
It has overtones of being: bright, forward-looking, intelligent, sharp, keen, on the ball, open, modern - indeed a remover of cobwebs and meaningless tradition.
In practice it only has a single meaning - 'leftwing' - which is not at all well described by any of the above.
