CND Is Wrong And Here's Why.

Nuclear weapons are too widely spread to 'abolish'.
There are too many stockpiled - their locations not always known except by the owners.
The only nation ever to have nuclear weapons used against it had no 'nukes' but obviously the one who used them - DID!
Do you really want to live in a world where we have no nuclear deterrent but 'rogue states' do?
M.A.D. actually worked. Fear often does. Everything so far mentioned is factual but I personally believe that the 'cold war face off' is the largest, single reason why there was no postwar war in Europe. (Certainly nowt to do wi' t' EU.)
A world where democracies have no 'nukes' is considerably more dangerous when non democracies do have them.
Last - and far from least - once invented, they cannot be uninvented.

Christians must do everything in their powers to influence governments not to use these dreadful weapons nor to create a situation wherein their use becomes likely but it is impossible to say that there could never be any situation justifying use.

To quote my Dad regarding August the 15th 1945, "As I was scheduled to go and fight incredibly long and incredibly dangerous battles in the Pacific, no news I have ever received was better than the fact of two atomic bombs falling on Japan!"
