Michael Gove: One Of The Tories Getting 'A Good Press' On This Blog.

Grade inflation in exams over many years has got to stop at some point and seemingly, Michael Gove is prepared to tackle the issue.
From a party political point of view - he has the possible difficulty that success will show that exam results have 'fallen' under the coalition. Imagine how conservative enemies would use that after 20 years of 'soaring' success - with 'improvements' every single year.
Cleverly, he is targeting A & A* grades primarily.
Add this to what is already being done to remove 'Mickey Mouse' subjects from future 14 - 16 curricula, the man appears to be making a a good fist of it all.
In my view, there is no need whatsoever to mess with the 'C' grade pass, cutoffs in traditional subjects. However, where the trendier subjects are concerned, I would be more than happy to see very close examination of the 'rigour' involved in grade awards in such disciplines.
