Bile And Bitterness Are Not Christian Characteristics.

Some years ago, I was profoundly upset when a friend and Christian 'went off the rails'.
I was in discussion with another gentleman about the issue and was quite shocked when a torrent of bile and foulness poured forth from his lips against the wayward brother. This man was actually in church leadership at the time! To say that I was shocked would be an understatement.
We can be embittered towards evil but not towards individuals. This does not mean that we should be tolerant of the wrongs that people do - far from it - but this must not be built on personal hatred.
Our forgiveness is dependent on us being prepared to forgive.
