On the BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, Nick Clegg
warned that the “arcane debate” over the EU will have a “chilling effect” on the
economy and that there should only be a referendum if there was a transfer of
powers to the EU. “I don't agree with the premise that we can unilaterally
re-write the rules of the club,” he added)
1) It's a load of codswallop. Where is the evidence?
2) The debate is far from 'arcane'.
3) The British people never voted to join a federalist
'club'.
4) He is right about one thing though but, Cameron is wrong about 're-writing rules' - it cannot
be done.
