New Year Honours.

For the first time in donkeys' years, I am not filled with wrath (pronounced roth, BTW) after the revelation of who made it onto The Honours List.
I have no real gripe with gongs for olympic & paralympic athletes - what really knocks my duck off is awards to the famous.
Happily, these have been in far shorter supply this year.
I firmly believe in an Honours System - but not just to reward celebrities and the Sir Humphreys of The Civil Service.
