What a sick world we have truly
become.The television, internet, magazines and
newspapers have all conspired - in the loosest sense of the word - to undermine
childhood innocence. ALL children are aware of every sexual
proclivity before they are even ten years old - and around that time, surely the
majority have been exposed to the worst of pornography on the
internet.
We have parents teaching children that 'sex is
fine provided that STDs and pregnancies are avoided'; we have parents acting as
appalling examples to their offspring with their own sexual
immoralities; parents selfishly divorcing on the most flimsy of excuses; parents
who 'sexualise' their youngsters from the very earliest of ages by dressing them
in outfits which not so long ago were the products only of the sex
trade.
We have separated the kiddies from God,
righteousness and fundamental morality and are apparently surprised when these
things drag society ever downwards.
We subscribe to 'if it itches then scratch it'
philosophies and the amorality of darwinistic amorality. We pretend that we have
only social moralities and personal accountability is consequently
irrelevant.
Our children are generally spoilt; often
indolent; demanding; free from the constraints of discipline; oft times
borderline feral and indulged. Those from the countless broken homes learn the
fun and gain that can be had from playing one parent off against the
other.
Frankly, I could weep. There is one thing I
know however - God The Father is not going to demonstrate the same wishy-washy
attitudes towards who encourage or weakly permit this corruption of the
young.
See what
Jesus had to say about millstones: Matthew 18:6.
