Gove's Reforms.

Whenever I see words like those above - as a teacher now thankfully only part time and at the very end of my career - my blood turns to ice.
If 38 years in teaching has taught me anything, it is that change is almost always a bad thing in education.
You can spend literally years trying to make some ill-conceived piece of legislation work - and for what?
- As a general rule it will be damage to the system and unending hassle.
The amount of 'improvements' that I have endured over this period the education offered should be the best in the world by a very long way.
Well it ain't!
OH! I have just thought of one mighty improvement in nearly 40 years - whiteboards have replaced blackboards! - So much cleaner to use.
