Coalition's Broken Promises.

Deceitful Cameron and Clegg are 'pickpockets' sliding away from their crimes, says Farage

DURING my television tussles with Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg – (you may have noticed that I bested him twice, but I don’t like to talk about it!) – he came out with a line about trust in politics being hard to win but easy to lose.

These guys walk away from their promises like pickpockets sliding away from the scene of their crimes – leaving their victims to find out later that something important has gone missing.

As I recollect, it was in reference to his own
broken promise about supporting an In/Out EU referendum.
I was reminded of Mr Clegg’s words this week when
another coalition broken promise came into the
spotlight. The Coalition Agreement guaranteed early legislation to
deliver a right of recall to electors where their MP has been involved in serious wrongdoing.

The proposal envisaged that a petition signed by 10 per cent of the electors in any constituency
would be enough to trigger a by-election in such circumstances.

You would probably have needed to have been living on Mars this week to still be unaware that no such legislation has been forthcoming from Messrs Cameron and Clegg.

Sigh.
