European Arrest Warrant Is Not What It Purports To Be.

We signed our first extradition treaty in 1174 and have treaties with 92 countries across the world.  We’ve been working with Interpol since 1923. Before the EAW, people like Hussain Osman and Jeremy Forrest would still have been extradited to the UK because we had extradition treaties with Italy and France.
But our government has a responsibility to protect our citizens from being deported unless there’s real evidence of guilt.  With an extradition treaty, evidence must be produced before British citizens are sent to rot in a foreign jail. Not with the EAW, I'm afraid!
