1. They’re not coming from
European Union countries. Since 1997
more than 90,000 international nurses have registered in the UK - the major
source countries being the Philippines, Australia, India and South Africa.

2. No-one’s suggesting pulling up the drawbridge
anyway. Outside the EU we’d still have a
work permit scheme to allow needed skills to come in to the UK. Britain wouldn’t lose a single doctor or
nurse as a result of leaving the EU.
