Members of the Royal Disciple Church in Lahore have made promotional
banners supporting the Ukip leader.
They have also held all-night prayer sessions
asking for divine intervention to propel Mr Farage into Downing Street, so he
can stop the religious persecution they suffer in Pakistan.
Pastor
Francis Bashir, the leader of the church, said he supports Ukip for its
“Christian values”. He intends to invite Mr Farage to visit him in Pakistan
after the election, saying: “After he wins, I’m sure he will address the
problems of Christians in Pakistan.”
Mr Farage said: “I’m touched by the prayers and
support of the poor in Pakistan, who have been persecuted for their religious
