It was months before Felicity Prazak saw her husband’s grave, and
years before their children were allowed to
visit.
It took two decades and the fall of Col Gaddafi for her to be told he
had been murdered by the Libyan regime, and she still does not know the full
story.
Last week the man she believes responsible - Abdullah
Senussi, Col Gaddafi’s security chief and regime hard
man - was sentenced to death, and
the art teacher from Battersea is asking for a chance to meet him and seek
answers before it is too late.
If not, she would like to witness the firing squad that kills
him. Telegraph.
Dear Felicity,
I truly pray that somehow you get to read this letter. I
fully appreciate your stance - one which so many of us would feel but sadly you
are wrong.
This man is to be executed which appears to be a totally
just societal response and quite proper in terms of natural justice which must
always be evenhanded and neutral. In God's eye view, this is entirely
appropriate.
Your response, however, is entirely personal. If you do
meet this individual, it is entirely proper that you should overcome all hatred
and offer him your undiluted forgiveness - which he can either accept or
not.
By relishing his demise, you put yourself wrong in
God's eyes and this will never contain the degree of satisfaction you hope
for. A vengeful spirit puts you outside the love of God.
At least, your man will receive justice - in our nation - that is not even possible.
Blessings to you.
