That 'having babies' is a dampener to womens' career prospects has always been blindingly obvious. It is a fact which this Blog has hastened to point out on numerous occasions. If there be inequalities in salaries between men and women - this is the root cause.
Good. We now see the matter for what it is. End of story. The problem will be, however, that the leftists and feminists, in the name of what they call 'a gender-based equality issue', will insist on damaging the careers of men. They will use a variant on the 'equality of outcome' problem to insist that women with less workplace experience should be entitled to shoulder their way past men with greater experience. It is difficult to envisage anything less fair to males.
