CONSERVATIVE cheerleader Tim Montgomerie has QUIT the party over David Cameron’s stance on the European Union calling it a “charade”.
The influential activist revealed he is not joining another party, but
could no longer give any more time, love or money to the “Cameron
project”.
In a scathing attack on the leadership, the long-standing Tory blasted
the Prime Minister’s stance on the EU citing “abject failure on immigration,
deficit reduction and inequality”.
The founder of grassroots ConservativeHome website, said: “Nothing
registers more strongly on the social injustice front than recommending staying
in the EU.
“It remains the greatest source of social misery on the continent –
requiring intense austerity in countries such as Greece, and causing terrible
youth unemployment across southern Europe from which millions will suffer
