By Ofsted’s own admission, the Talmud Torah
Machzikei Hadass School was “clearly focused on teaching pupils to
respect everybody, regardless of difference.” Yet Ofsted has still
criticised this Orthodox Jewish school for not teaching about same-sex
relationships.
The school rightly maintains that this teaching is the prerogative of parents and the school should not be forced to teach something which is contrary to its religion. Sign this petition to Ofsted in support of the school’s right to teach in accordance with its faith on family matters.

Ofsted accused both schools of falling short of required standards because discussion of same-sex relationships and other lifestyles is not taught at the schools. Rather, the school leaves such matters to parents, and as such, the school does not discuss such matters.
This move by Ofsted represents a gross intrusion of the state into religion and family life and must be resisted.
Sign this petition to Ofsted asking them to respect the rights of private religious schools to teach about family matters in accordance with their own religion, and to respect the rights of parents to raise their children in accordance with their own traditions, religious or otherwise.
