Protestant & Roman Catholic Differences.

I once began an RS lesson which was to explain the differences between Protestant and Roman Church belief.
There were 18 major differences the class came up with - having only a little help from me.
Even though, the two groups are radically different - it is clear that in 'the central issues' of Faith, there is a congruence of belief.

Problems arise when certain Catholic beliefs abandon The Scriptures, generally with peripheral issues, and create inexplicable doctrines such as: worship of Saints, creation of saints, purgatory, mariolatry et al.
